My Work
Imagine the convenience of having your car's brakes serviced without ever leaving the comfort of your home. Here's how the process goes: I arrive at your doorstep, ready to bring professional brake service directly to you. First, I conduct an assessment of your vehicle, examining each component to determine which services are required. This inspection ensures that I understand the specific needs of your car. Whether it's a simple brake pad replacement, complete brake overhaul, fluid flush/top-off, or an engine component that needs to be cleaned/replaced; I can do just about everything, and it's all in your driveway.Following the assessment, I'll give you an estimate, which outlines the costs of the necessary parts and labor. This step ensures that you're fully informed and comfortable with the service plan before any work begins. Once you approve the estimate, I will buy all the required parts, selecting only the best for your vehicle to ensure its reliability. In most cases, an oil change or brake replacement can be quoted and serviced within a day. However, for most engine components, as well as brakes and rotors for less common vehicles, shipping times and costs can come into play. With all the parts on hand, I set to work right in your driveway. Using my tools and experience, I can get the majority of jobs done in a couple of hours. This convenient service eliminates the need for you to drop off your car or endure long waits inside an auto shop, offering a stress-free and cost-efficient solution to vehicle maintenance and repair, all performed at a location that suits you best. It also allows you to see exactly what's happening to your vehicle as it's getting worked on. No more wondering if your mechanic is lying to you about that $600 part he says you need!Any vehicles I do brake/engine-related work to will be test-driven by me to ensure everything works properly before you hit the road. Additionally, if a part I install begins to fail because of faulty installation or incorrect fitment, I will come back and fix my mistake for free.
About Me
My name is Ben. When I was a junior in high school, I knew nothing about working on cars. My Ford truck was dying on me, so I took it to a mechanic shop. The shop quoted me a price for parts plus installation, and I ended up paying over $700 for a new alternator and radiator. Back then I didn't even know what those two things were, so I just said "okay" with a frown on my face and forked over the money. I got the truck back, and it seemed to work fine. 5 hours later, my truck is back in the shop. Turns out the only part I needed that whole time was a fuel pump switch, as mine would turn off every time I hit a bump in the road. That part cost about $40. That was the moment when I decided: this will never happen to me again.Fast forward one year, and I bought my first project car. A beautiful light blue metallic BMW 330 convertible from 2001. I bought it broken as a means to learn how to work on cars. At this point, I still knew nothing, but I was determined to learn.I needed a place where I could get advice from people with experience, and my dad suggested that I go into a mechanic shop and ask for a job. So I did just that. I walked into a shop called MVP German Auto. I was wearing athletic shorts and a tank top which in hindsight wasn't the best choice of clothing, but when I asked the owner Bill for a job as a cleaning boy and told him how I wanted to gain experience from him and his technicians, he said yes. I didn't make much money, but to this day that was by far my favorite job I've had. I learned so much about cars there, and I met some amazing people. It will forever have a place in my heart, and If you have a German car and don't want my service, I suggest you take it there. It may be more expensive but they do everything perfect, and their shop is like a well-oiled machine. My BMW needed a lot of work. The suspension was on its last leg, the brakes were nonexistent, and it needed a new engine. I bought an engine from a 2005 330, and then took it apart and resealed every component except the head gasket and valve stems. It was hard at first, but I persevered and eventually swapped the engines. Finally, after a year of learning and working, I got the car running. Now it's my daily driver, and we have as close to a personal relationship as you can get with a car. These pictures show my journey, and as you can probably tell, I may have been the happiest man on earth when I could finally drive my car.Since then, I've been my family's personal mechanic, and I've helped countless family-friends diagnose and repair their cars when something breaks or wears out. Now, I've decided to use this experience and create a small business. Believe me when I tell you, if I got that BMW back on the road, I can get your vehicle back on the road.
